American National College was incorporated in July 1986. The school held its first class on September 2, 1986 and has grown from 1 campus to 3 campuses in the United States today. American National College comprised originally of 3 separate schools which were Iverson Institute, Royal Beauty Careers, and Circle J. Beauty school. In its 25+ years of history, American National College has undergone many changes to keep with the dynamics of education. To reflect the globalization of business and the importance of sound management accounting practices in all parts of the world, IMA® and the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI), a statutory body enacted under an Act of Parliament of India, have entered into a joint partnership agreement. At the cornerstone of the partnership is a mutual recognition of each organization’s respective certifications, allowing automatic award of IMA’s Certified Management Accountant (CMA®) certification for ICWAI’s Cost and Works Accountant (CWA) certificate holders. With 42,000 qualified professionals, ICWAI is the regulating authority of the cost and management accounting profession in India. The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI) has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), USA. The MoU will enable recognition of the professional qualification of the respective institutes. Both the institutes will develop the profession of management accountancy for the benefit of their members and students.
According to the MoU, a member of ICWAI can get enrolled as a member of IMA USA and vice-versa. However, an IMA member enrolling as a member of ICWAI will not be allowed to hold a certificate of practice to undertake any statutory work in India.

We are glad to inform you that the Govt. of India (GOI), on August 16, 2013, has announced a scheme of monetary award for candidates undergoing an approved skill development training and certification. The scheme is being implemented through the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The Government is providing the monetary reward for encouraging youth to upgrade their skills.
The National Stock Exchange being a leader in the financial sector is keen to implement the scheme across the country. IIKM has tie up with NSE for offering the BFSI (Banking Financial Services and Insurance).
There are six job roles identified by the NSDC under Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI), for which training and certification under the GOI announced scheme can be provided. These are the courses:-
A monetary reimbursement of Rs. 10,000/- would be provided to candidates undergoing training and successfully completing an assessment.
